The house is a stone house built in what I think is the Quaker-Georgian Style. The house was built in three sections over the course of about 120 years. The original section (far Right) was to have been built in about 1692. The first addition the "middle section" was built in about 1800 and the "last section"(far left) was built in about 1812. My grandparents purchased the house in the 1940's and lived there until the end of there lives. The house is my future home upon completion of the current renovations.
My father and I are currently renovating, and remodeling the entire house. We began by working on a new layout for the apartment within the house to make it a separate unit as opposed to an inlaw. The apartment used to be the second floor of the middle and the original sections but will now become the entire original section.
We started cleaning out the basement and attic. Then moved throughout the house. Anything that nobody else wanted or we couldn't donate had to go. In the dumpster it went.
While planning the new apartment we decided the bathroom need to be updated and enlarged. We pulled down a little here and a little there next thing you know it all had to go. It was a lot of plaster and rubble and a big old mess. I must have carried 50 buckets of debris to the dumpster and damn my arms were sore. I think they were stretched an inch or two.
